Email Extractor

Turn a Gmail .mbox export into an Excel spreadsheet โ€” pick the columns you need.

Upload your .mbox file
Export a label from Gmail via Google Takeout, then drop the .mbox here.

๐Ÿ”’ Your file is parsed in memory for this session and cleared automatically after 30 minutes โ€” it is never written to a database or shared.

How to use
Six quick steps from a Gmail export to a spreadsheet.
  1. 1

    Export from Gmail

Go to Google Takeout, choose Mail, and download the .mbox file for the label you want.

  2. 2

    Upload the .mbox

Drag it in or click to browse. Everything is processed on the server for this session only โ€” nothing is stored permanently.

  3. 3

    Pick your columns

Tick the standard fields (From, To, Subject, Date, Body, โ€ฆ) you want as spreadsheet columns.

  4. 4

    Add custom rules (optional)

Use a regex to pull a value out of each email โ€” e.g. an order ID or password. The live tester shows what it captures.

  5. 5

    Filter & report (optional)

Limit to a date range, and/or add a Recipient Summary sheet that counts how many emails went to each address.

  6. 6

    Generate Excel

Download an .xlsx: Sheet 1 is your selected columns, Sheet 2 (if enabled) is the recipient summary.

Custom rule cheat-sheet

  • Wrap the exact text you want in ( ) โ€” the Group field picks which one (0 = whole match).
  • Order ID from body โ†’ pattern Order\s*#?\s*(\d+), group 1.
  • Value after a label (handles the full-width colon โ€œ๏ผšโ€) โ†’ pattern ID[:๏ผš]\s*([A-Za-z0-9]+).
